Thats just a Yahoo code. has nothing to do with real life other that OTC over the counter bulletin board stock. Yahoo Finance went to their little weirdo suffix scheme years ago, but they still phrase the error message like they did it yesterday.
Try putting in cmkx. It will tell you that cmkx is no longer valid and that you have to put in cmkx.pk.
Basically, if it's not traded on a major exchange, then it has .ob or .pk on the end of it, just to annoy you and me.
I find it very annoying. No other site that I've seen does this; it's just something Yahoo made up to be cute I guess.

Yahoo is ALWAYs gives the message "symbol is not valid" if we don't type the RIGHT symbol! This is how they work. It stands not only for OB or PK securiries. For example if some co. filed for Chapter 11, Yahoo adds Q letter right away and keeps this symbol untill the co. ends this deal. The same is valid in cases when co. changes the Board and so on. But the main point I guess is that Yahoo requires the EXACT symbol for search (unlike CBSWatch, for ex.) It is in their software for search. AND NOTHING MORE.
