I think the actual amount of shares publicly stated to be locked up through that agreement, plus the FS, is fairly insignificant to the overall count for the task force. However, the significance of locked up shares when one is dealing with privatization or buyouts or mergers or creations of conglomerates obviously is very significant to the final outcome of those transactions. Here's an example: Mr. car dealer has a car for sale, but the engine is being repaired at the local mechanic shop. You have agree to buy the car on the 15th of April, but the mechanic will not release the engine until midnight plus one minute (12.01 a.m.). The money is already committed for the purchase, and all you have to do is call the FED bank and authorize release of the car payment when the engine is delivered. Surely the FED bank will not release the funds to the car dealer until all parts of the car are in one place which then closes the transaction.

Go re-read the 8K.
He agreed not to PLEDGE, which means promise, vow, assure, guarantee, undertake, secure.
Read and understand before you start criticizing. It will be much easier to have a dialogue with you that way.
Yes, the apocalyptic number is still there and it cannot be breached.
I suggest that if you do not want to have a friendly conversation about issues, please either stop criticizing or just ignore what I write. I am not here to attack or fight with you.
Debate what the total impact of the word "pledge" is on the overall picture. Stop attacking.

Some things are not my job to do, just as some things are not your job to do. This agreement has been public information for almost three years. Instead of spending so much time here on this board, go back and read and re-read all the information over the last 3.5 years. Quit complaining unless you have read it all. You can read just as well as the next guy. No one needs to be spoonfed all this information. It exists. There is information everywhere. One just has to seek it. You will find what you seek.

You are not reading this carefully enough. You are mixing apples and oranges.
The agreement says "Mr. Casavant has agreed not to sell, pledge, or otherwise dispose....."
The agreement does not say that an attorney, or a bank, or a merger specialist, or a buyout expert, or a close friend or an associate or anyone else cannot discuss terms and agreements associated with future share exchanges.
It just says that Mr. Casavant cannot pledge the shares.
Think beyond your criticism before you respond.

Opening Remarks at Mining Investment Forum 2005 for
Canada and China, March 8, 2005, Toronto
By Liu Guosheng
Minister Counsellor, Embassy of P. R. China in Canada
Dear Mr. Gary Nash, Dear Mr. Wang Min, Distinguished
Guests, Ladies and Gentlemen:
Good morning!
It is a great pleasure for me to be here today to co-host
together with Mr. Gary Nash, Assistant Deputy Minister
the Natural Resources Canada Mining Investment Forum
2005. The forum has become a regular mechanism to bring
together government officials, mining industry leaders and
academics both from China and Canada to exchange views
on mining investment relations and to network for potential
investment opportunities. It will also support the MOU
between NRCan and Ministry of Land and Resources, on
cooperation in earth
sciences and minerals and metals, and the MOU between
NRCan and National
Development and Reform Commission, on cooperation in
minerals and metals. On behalf of the Embassy of the
People’s Republic of China in Canada, hereby I want to
express my gratitude to Natural Resources Canada and
International Trade Canada for their efforts in organizing
this forum.
As we all know, Prime Minister Paul Martin and
International Trade Minister Jim Peterson just wrapped up
a fruitful and successful visit to China January this year.
During the mission, China and Canada signed a wide range
of agreements that will further stimulate cooperation in
areas of natural resources and energy, culture, environment,
agriculture and food safety, science and technology etc.
Joint statements were also issued that outlines a further
commitment to enhancing bilateral relations in a number of
key areas, especially natural resource and energy, trade and
investment. Finally, a common paper was issued to define
the scope of the China-Canada strategic working group.
I’m sure all these fruits and the follow-up actions will
further enhance the ongoing China Canada partnership,
especially the robust bilateral economic and trade
relationship.
In 2004, China foreign trade volume hit a record high of
1.15 trillion US dollars, making it the 3rd biggest trading
nation after the US and Germany. China imported 561.4
billion US dollars worth of goods during the year, with an
increase rate of 36%. I am glad to tell you that Canada’s
export to China witnessed the fastest growth rate. In 2004,
two-way trade between China and Canada expanded to
15.5 billion U.S. dollars, according to the statistics of the
Chinese Customs, with an increase of 55 percent from 2003.
China’s exports to Canada rose 44.9 percent to 8.16 billion
U.S. dollars, and China imported 7.35 billion U.S. dollars
worth of goods from Canada, with a sharp rise of 68
percent. Figures from Canadian side tell an encouraging
story as well, our bilateral trade rose to 30 billion Canadian
dollars last year.
China and Canada have become important trading partners
to each other. There is great potential for the development
of an even stronger and closer economic and trade
relationship, as China maintains an annual growth rate of 9
percent and Canada has its advantages in resources and
expertise. Equally important is both governments’
commitment to building a long-standing mutual beneficial
partnership. China and Canada have set the goal of
quadrupling their bilateral trade by 2010 on the basis of
2003 level, we also identified natural resources and energy
as priority areas to this end.
In building a strong and sustainable China Canada
economic and trade relationship, mutual investment is
playing a more and more important role. Though Canada
has nearly 4 billion US dollars direct investment in China,
it still has a great potential compared with Canada’s
economic strength and advantages. We encourage more
Canadian investment in China; meanwhile we encourage
more Chinese enterprises to invest in Canada. More mutual
investments will certainly bring with more trade. To protect
current investors and to create lucrative investment
environment in both countries, our two governments have
been engaged in negotiating a bilateral Foreign Investment
Protection Agreement. I know some Canadian mining
companies have made their presence in China’s western
provinces that are endowed with natural resources.
Chinese mining companies are eager to learn from their
counterparts in Canada the expertise in minerals
exploitation, mineral resources management, mining
financing etc. China’s economic development and
modernization need secure and stable supply of certain raw
materials, especially the right experience and expertise in
information collection, management, capital market etc. I
hope all friends here can make full use of the
complementarities of our two economies and opportunities
here to realise a win-win situation.
Finally, I wish a successful and fruitful forum today!
Thank you very much!

elo you truly are an idiot
Can you please explain how the shorters caused the demise of CMKX? Explain how Urban raised over $24 million from stock sales and the shorts forced him to default on the mining claims? Explain how the shorts forced him to not pay the ASA sponsorship? Explain how the shorts forced him to release a "diamondiferous" press release that gave no lab results on the "diamondiferous" claim which resulted in the halt of the Canadian JV partners who had to release the official lab results before they could trade again that showed the "dimondiferous" content was a dust particle weighing .000005 carats? Explain how the shorts forced Urban to file a false form 15? Explain how the shorts forced Urban not to file financials? Explain how the shorts forced Urban to keep such terible corporate recored he was unable to even start an audit? Explain how the shorts forced Urban into shady deals with SGGM and UCAD? Boy, I'd love to hear your expert opinion on all of this.

So Urban did all fo that to set a trap? He caused the demise of CMKX to trap the shorts? If that's the case how could one prove damages by the shorts? You'd have to show that the shorts caused damages to CMKX in order to collect. Urban refused to spend cash he raised on the claims when he had more than enough to do so. The claims defaulted. Not because of a short but becasue of Urban's refusal to fund them. He had the cash to do so, he refused. No damage from the shorts there. Urban is being sued by the ASA for failure to pay sposnorship fees. Urban had the cash to apy, he refused. No damage from the shorts there. Urban failed to keep adequate records to file finanacials. No damage from the shorts due to tevocation. Urban entered into deals with UCAD and SGGM without disclosing the source of the money being passed back to CMKX. Can't blame the shorts for that. SGGM revoked. Can't blame the shorts for that. UCAD about to be busted and revoked due to their accounting. Can't blame the shorts for that. So tell me what damages were the direct result of the shorts?

elo you truly are an idiot
Boy, I'd love to hear your expert opinion on all of this.

elo
