If anyone knows anything for certain about CMKX my bet is they are not your average retail stockholder. Urban grew up in Saskatchewan watching a monopolistic company cherry picking the best mines at the precise weakest moment when the company had exhausted all it's revenue and a DeBeer's takeover was the only alternative short of implosion of the junior company. Case in point Tahera and not so recently but perhaps more graphically Winspear at Snap Lake there are other examples. I'll be candid Canadian diamond miners though not shy on enthusiam were not the most sophisticated when Mr. Fipke lit the diamond mining fuse in Canada.
A monopoly in Canada wasn't part of Urban's dream so he took steps to ensure DeBeers wouldn't repeat in the FALC.Urban has been staking claims quietly but just as surely building this project for many years possibly 20 years. Even secretive mining methods closely gaurded for decades by DeBeers have been disclosed in a weak moment which Canadian juniors took full advantage of strengthening exploration technique. The DeBeers monopoly is in serious decline that is one reason why you see such a bonanza in the FALC presently.
Urban is not the most sympathetic person regarding DeBeer's if you catch my drift. Like I say no one knows anything for certain but it's within the realm of possibility all this shorting going on at least in part was the doing of DeBeer's through offshore industrial trading. Not proven but possible. Urban whisked the mineral claims right out from under DeBeers noses , he did not endear himself to them that much IS for certain.
No one really knows who the deep pockets are for sure either but my money is on someone other than DeBeer's based on the thorny relationship Urban & DeBeers continue to experience. A hostile takeover through shorting might fit the enigma that is CMKX. Again no one knows for certain if they do they are not going public.
I think your witnessing a Roll Up business strategy but the deep pocketed architect is not DeBeers IMHO. Perhaps Lundins Blussons maybe someone else once more no one knows for sure mining is a secretive business for good reason. Keep an eye on Rick Kusmurski who is in tight on the uranium side of the equation and monitor UCA & KPG for volatility that may well be the bell weather we are looking and waiting for. GLTY
