Are we better off today than yesterday
Source:Bart
IMO absolutely.
CMKX is in a better position today..
compared to last week..a better position compared to last month..
and in a better position than it was when the lawyer first came on board.
It amazes me how much the emotion on this board fluctuates from day to day..
if we took a snapshot of cmkx 6 months ago..and then took a snapshot of cmkx today..which company would you rather invest in? And try not to think with emotion..and the feeling that comes with watching the pps go down..
this is where I agree with DrD's advice (on the recording shared this weekend)..he advised not to focus so much on the pps..in his opinion this is not a true measuring stick of cmkx success..especially since the security is under such heavy manipulation..
I have been a part of investments that haven't been NS (to my knowledge..lol) and STILL the price went down, down without relief..
and you guessed it..it was a "story" stock (that was legally shorted during the recent stock market crash)..
the company itself (the other story stock) was just as good if not BETTER than when it was at a higher pps..but since there was no "bottom line" (real earnings)..the market was able to take the price basically wherever it wanted..
long story short..(or maybe I should say short story long..lol)..the pps recovered after about 2 years of pain..and when it finally ran it ran big (over 1000 percent)..
now I'm not saying all stocks do this..lol..or that cmkx will..however..I am saying that IMO cmkx is in a better position now compared to even its recent past..
the big question mark in peoples minds might be whether or not cmkx has an "immediate" payoff..and the whole shareholder "appreciation" party may have some play in this sentiment..and of course the fact that the pps is not cooperating..and of course the fact that we didn't get any concrete HUGE news yet out of the big meeting in Canada..
Its time again IMO to perhaps take inventory of why we are invested (and this may be different for different people)..if you were here for the big quick pop (or even the pop that took a few months)..then I can understand your frustration..
if you are truly here for the potential of owning a very successful diamond mining company..one that has shown how serious it is to build it through partnerships..one that has brought together the resources to drill targets indicated by an exciting ariel survey map..a company that is steered by a competent lawyer and a caring (IMO) CEO..THEN..
this company is no worse off than last week..or the month before..and is IMO even BETTER..because we are one step closer to getting the drills on the ground..
and once we do the real work (punching holes)..then we will be able to prove one way or another whether or not we have the goods..and this is assuming we don't already have the goods..
This has been my mindset from almost the beginning..and I know that many here share this perspective..
and even though I might feel some dissapointment with the pps (I would be lying if I told you otherwise..lol)..I definitely am not having mood swings..
I refueled a little this last weekend and stayed off the boards a bit..I would rec..that many of you try and do the same thing..
Honestly..if I would have fallen asleep a few weeks ago..and just woke up this morning..I don't think I would have missed much..
in fact..I probably would have saved myself some grief..lol
To summarize:
We still have the lawyer..we now have an ariel survey with hundreds of anomilies..we now have partnerships and private financing to drill those targets (which will take time and money-- again we have both)..we have evidence that other companies are are also very interested in the FALC region (evidenced by Debeers recent action and additional funding for ventures)..we have our partners expressing enthusiasm for the potential of our claims (not just by their words but by the dollars committed)..and I could go on..
Now I am anticipating others with a different slant..perhaps rattling off their own inventory with doubts attached..or alleged promises unkept..
and that is fine..because it still doesn't overshadow IMO the facts before us..
rumors..and false "dates"..and emotional expectations..and pps manipulation..all of these things have a tendency to cloud one's perception..
for me its clear..
1. The pps is lower
2. The company has positioned itself for success IMO
Like DrD. stated..don't focus as much on number one.
