Another possibility is that there is a total of 1.562T shares floating around in the market, both legitimate and naked short shares, and that the dividend was distributed to all, but will later be reconciled once the NSS dilemma is resolved (NOTE: the assumption of the latter option is that the MMs would be able to cover the shorts on the UCAD dividend by buying UCAD on the open market, but since CIM is private, this is not an option for them).
